Welcome to guardiansoft.net, the web site for our non-profit game programming team known as Guardian Soft. Here you will find first and foremost, the games we have created over the years. For those of you interested in learning how to code your own games, check out our for coders section. You can also learn more about us in our about section, and if you get the chance, please drop us a mail to let us know what you think.

This page is being generously hosted by FiReBell, our long-time partners in crime. A special thanks goes out to Nathan and Erik, both of which are many miles away out there in Japan!

It has been a while since I last updated,  but a lot has happened over the past few months.

I've been working hard on a generic 2D game library in C++ named simply "GSGameLib". Currently it uses OpenGL as its graphics renderer and Audiere for audio, and is only supported on Windows. However, I kept the design open ended so I can easily extend it to other platforms and/or libraries.

As some of you may know, The Tetris Master (TTM) has not been playable on Windows since the VESA 2.0 standard stopped being supported by most graphics card vendors. Well, I've successfully ported TTM to use my new GSGameLib so it finally works on all versions of Windows! Be sure to download it from our Games section!

One final bit of news is that Electronic Arts, one of the largest game companies out there, has opened a studio here in my hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and I was just recently hired there as a full-time software engineer! I'm currently wrapping up a contract and will be starting there in mid-May. I am extremely excited about it and can't wait to start! It has been my dream to work in the gaming industry ever since I was a kid, and now my dream is actually coming true!
